Latest Craze - Gashapon and figurinesCan I say it's my latest craze? Not exactly actually... I love those gashapon or capsule toys since I was I kid and I could spent a few hours quietly at those machines then while my parents or grandma went and did their own shopping. Well, lots of money spent on those but luckily mostly sponsored then. Those times we had mostly the 20 cents and 50 cents machines, 1 dollar machine came in later, offering better quality toys. It becomes frustrating, when obtaining the same toy repeatedly but it the anticipation of what's the toy in the next capsule that's addictive. I was a collector then and I even have my very own display cupboard. I even collect Mac's Happy Meals toys (I used to have them in sets). Sad to say that I've stopped collecting Mac's toys and those capsule toys since my primary school days and I've lost many of my collection series due to negligence. But now.... The passion is back! *Laughs... Got the passion back when I bought a few figurines a few weeks ago. With the help of anime and higher quality toys, I was attracted to it. Again... Though those machines now usually cost at least 2 dollars to get a capsule, it's still worth it, I feel. It's time to continue with my collection. Spent hours at Suntec today and I admit, I spent a lot today... *grins. But I feel like a child all over again, grinning from ear to ear with my 'harvest'... The feeling... Finding back my childhood memories is simply superb!!!
Sad to say, my very own display cupboard then is now overflooded with things that belongs to my brother and mother.... It's locked and the key is lost... So I do not have the access to my dear limited treasures. I wanted a display cupboard so much but I couldnt, my room dont have the space and it simply wont suit my room which is like a garbarge storage place filled with unwanted stuffs which dont belongs to me and I cant throw. *sigh* So now, those new darlings which I had got recently are kept in a box, waiting for the day when they can be proudly displayed. But when will the day come?
